The Dot Hill AssuredSAN 3523 Storage Array is a linear performance system that's optimized for sequential workloads. The Dot Hill 3523 is especially strong in delivering throughput for media and entertainment applications. Dot Hill engineers designed the 3523 Array for strenuous applications such as video on-demand, post-production editing, video surveillance, server virtualization, databasing, MS Exchange, disaster recovery, electronic trading, EDI and scientific research.
With up to two dozen drives per array, the Dot Hill 3523 supports 24 terabytes (TB) of storage. As many as eight arrays (1 RAID, 7 JBOD) fit into a single chassis. The 3523 supports serial attached SCSI (SAS) and solid state drives (SSD). This array is compatible with MAC OS X, Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems
The 3523 features Dot Hill's EcoStor technology, which completely eliminates the need for cache batteries. Rather, super capacitors and flash memory offer unlimited cache backup during power outages. Not only is the 3523 incredibly reliable, it's also eco-friendly. The Dot Hill's channel model is 3523C.
