The IBM 575 server, known officially as the IBM System p5 575, is a powerhouse of a datacenter solution that's built to run flawlessly during the toughest computing tasks. Powered by eight or 16 POWER5+ processors, the 2U IBM 575 holds 1 gigabyte of DDR2 SDRAM, 15 megabytes of Level 2 cache, 288 megabytes of Level 3 cache, and two 73.4, 146.8 or 300-gigabyte SCSI drives for additional internal disk storage. The IBM 575 server's total internal storage capacity is nearly 3 terabytes. For flexibility's sake, the IBM p575 supports the IBM AIX, SUSE Linux, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems.
