The IBM LS41 blade server, known officially as the IBM BladeCenter LS41, is a future-proofed datacenter solution ideal for organizations seeking scalability. Backed by up to four AMD Opteron processors, the IBM LS41 supports up to 64 gigabytes of system memory, 293 gigabytes of internal disk storage, and up to 1 megabyte of Level 2 cache per processor. The IBM LS41 comes equipped with two SAS drives that store up to 146.8 gigabytes apiece.
As many as 42 IBM LS41 blades fit into a single standard industry rack; up to 40 fit in a standard telecommunications rack. With its Predictive Failure Analysis, the IBM LS41 avoids dreaded downtime by foreseeing system problems and allowing users to fix them up to 48 hours before they even occur. If you're looking for flexibility, the IBM LS41 supports the Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Sun Microsystems Solaris operating systems.
