The IBM System Storage TS1130 Tape Drive is a blazing-fast solution designed for IBM's TS3400, TS3500 and TotalStorage 3949 tape libraries. Using the Linear Serpentine recording technique, the IBM TS1130 Tape Drive stores up to 1 TB when using JB/JX media. With JA/JW or JJ/J$ media, the TS3400 boasts a capacity of 640 GB or 128 GB, respectively. The TS1130 supports short, standard and extended-length IBM 3592 cartridges that are WORM or rewritable.
