Powered by the quad-core Intel Xeon L5518 processor, the Sun Netra X4270 Server scales to 144 gigabytes of memory via 18 DDR3 DIMMs and has room for four SAS drives without DVD-R/W or two SAS disks with DVD-R/W. For flexibility, the Sun Netra X4270 supports a variety of operating environments, including Oracle Solaris, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Oracle OVM, Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux and Microsoft Windows.
