The Oracle X6240 (Oracle Sun Blade X6240) Server Module is a two-socket blade equipped to tackle cumbersome workloads in applications such as databasing, virtualization, high performance computing, grid computing and networking. Powered by six-core AMD Opteron processors, the Oracle X6240 Blade supports up to 128 gigabytes of main memory via 16 DIMMs and more than 1 terabyte of externally accessible storage. The Oracle X6240, which is compatible with the Sun 6000 and 6048 systems, supports the Oracle Solaris, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux, VMware and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
