The Oracle T4-1B Blade is a workhorse server module that's designed for the Sun Blade 6000 Chassis. Up to 10 Oracle T4-1B blades slide into a single Sun 6000 enclosure, making for a remarkably dense and efficient environment. Oracle optimized the Oracle T4-1B Server Module for a wide range of strenuous applications such as virtualization, consolidation, databases, online transactions, web serving, middleware and tiered application workloads.

Equipped with an 8-core, 64-thread Oracle SPARC T4 chip, the Oracle T4-1B scales to 256GB of system RAM using 16 DIMMs. The processor features a unique integrated on-chip accelerator, which enables enterprise-class security while not sacrificing performance. What's more, the Oracle T4-1B Blade boasts a 6.4 Tbps I/O throughput.
