The Oracle SPARC T4-1B Server Module is a high-performance blade that's compatible with the Sun Blade 6000 Chassis. As many as 10 SPARC T4-1B blades fit into one chassis, which makes for an extremely dense and efficient infrastructure. Oracle engineers designed the SPARC T4-1B Server Module for a variety of taxing applications, including virtualization, consolidation, databasing, online transaction processing, web serving, middleware and tiered application workloads.

Powered by one eight-core, 64-thread SPARC T4 processor, the SPARC T4-1B scales to 256 gigabytes (GB) of main memory via 16 DIMMs. The T4 is a breakthrough processor that's optimized for a wide range of application workloads. It features a unique integrated on-chip cryptographic acceleration, which allows for enterprise-level security without sacrificing performance. The SPARC T4-1B Blade is also capable of a 6.4 Terabit-per-second I/O throughput.
