Description



This FICON adapter is attached to the SE9960 disk controller frame unit (DKC410I) or SE9910 integrated controller and disk array frame unit (DKC415I) and provides S/390 Mainframe connectivity through two Fibre Channel 2-port adapters with short wavelength laser diode connected to single-mode type fibre-optical cable for channel portion of both storage clusters (two ports for each storage cluster). The communication protocol is ESCON over Fibre Channel.
