The Sun Fire V250 Server is a remarkably scalable, reliable tower system that's geared toward the health care, retail, banking, government and manufacturing industries. Sun Microsystems engineers designed the Sun Fire V250 to tackle many strenuous applications, including e-mail, web serving, business intelligence, databasing and application development, among others.

Powered by one or two Sun UltraSPARC IIi processors, the Sun V250 Server scales to 8 GB of main memory via eight DIMMs. For internal storage, the Sun V250 supports as many as eight Ultra160 SCSI 36 GB or 73 GB disks. Though the Sun V250 Server has reached its end-of-life (EOL), the system and its parts are still available for purchase from Acclinet.
