The Sun Fire X4370 M2 Server is an enterprise-class system that combines server, storage and networking capabilities into one 4U box. Powered by six-core Intel Xeon 5675 processors, the Sun X4370 M2 Server is designed especially for the Oracle Database 11g. With its high-availability features and redundant/hot-swappable components, the Sun X4370 M2 allows for easy maintenance and maximum system uptime.
Each Sun X4370 M2 chassis contains dual Oracle Linux server nodes, which are bridged internally via a redundant Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) interconnect. Each node comes equipped with two Xeon chips; the system has 24 processing cores in total. The Sun X4370 scales to 96 gigabytes (GB) of main memory per node and 12 terabytes (TB) of shared raw storage when outfitted with 20 3.5” 600 GB serial attached SCSI (SAS) hard disks drives (HDDs).
