The Oracle Exadata Database Machine X2-8 consists of two database servers that are equipped to tackle massive online transaction processing (OLTP), data warehousing and consolidation demands. With 128 CPU cores and 2 terabytes of memory, the Oracle Exadata X2-8 performs as many as 1 million I/O operations per second. A full-rack Oracle Exadata X2-8 Machine is capable of up to 25 Gbps of uncompressed raw disk bandwidth, 50 Gbps of uncompressed Flash data bandwidth, 50,000 disk IOPS, 1 million Flash IOPS, a data load rate of 5 terabytes per hour and 100 terabytes of raw disk data capacity, among other things.
Each of the Exadata Database Machine X2-8's servers is equipped with up to eight 8-core Intel Xeon X7560 processors, 1 terabyte of RAM, eight 300-gigabyte SAS drives, eight InfiniBand QDR ports, eight 10-gigabyte Ethernet ports, one ILOM Ethernet port and four redundant and hot-swappable power supplies.
