The IBM XIV Storage System Gen3 is a high-end disk storage solution that's renowned for its user-friendliness and expandability. It is also capable of up to 6 TB of SSD caching, a feature not available with the prior generation XIV system. For connectivity, the XIV G3 supports two dozen 8Gbps Fibre Channel (FC) ports and 22 iSCSI over Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports.
