The Dell PowerVault MD3000 scales to 30 terabytes per enclosure using 15 2-terabyte SATA drives; the array expands to three enclosures and 45 drives. If you're looking for flexibility, the Dell MD3000 Array allows you to mix SAS and SATA drives in the same enclosure. With hot-spare drives, you'll be able to retrieve lost data if there ever is a disk failure.
