The Dot Hill AssuredSAN 3533 Storage Array is a linear performance system that's geared toward sequential workloads. The Dot Hill 3533's biggest strength is its throughput for media/entertainment applications. Engineers at Dot Hill designed the 3523 Array for many cumbersome applications, including on-demand video, video editing, video surveillance, server virtualization, databases, MS Exchange, disaster recovery, electronic trading, EDI and scientific research.
Equipped with a dozen 3.5” drives, the Dot Hill 3533 has a capacity of 36 terabytes (TB). Up to eight 3533 arrays fit into a single chassis. The 3533 supports serial attached SCSI (SAS) and solid state drives (SSD) and MAC OS X, Linux and Microsoft Windows operating environments. Dot Hill's channel model is 3533C.
The 3533 Array features Dot Hill's EcoStor technology, which eliminates the need for cache batteries in favor of super capacitors and flash memory.
