The Oracle Ultra 27 Workstation is designed to tackle many strenuous applications, including software development, scientific virtualization, mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD), electronic design automation (EDA) and high-performance computing (HPC). Powered by an Intel Xeon 3500 Series processor, the Oracle Ultra 27 scales to 12 gigabytes of main memory via six DIMMs and up to 4 terabytes of internal disk storage with four SATA drives (or 1.8 terabytes with SAS disks). The Oracle Ultra 27 supports the Oracle Solaris, Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux, Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Vista operating systems.
