The Oracle Netra SPARC T4-1B Blade is a carrier-grade system that's optimized to tackle cumbersome demands in telecommunications, web, media services and OSS/BSS environments. The SPARC Netra T4-1B comes equipped with a single SPARC T4 processor, which offers 5x the single-threaded performance than Oracle's previous processor, SPARC T3. The SPARC T4 is the world's first processor geared toward application network infrastructure workloads.

As many as 10 Netra SPARC T4-1B blades fit into one Sun Netra 6000 Chassis. Since each blade has its own Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) service processor, the Netra SPARC T4-1B allows for standalone system management.
